FAQ

What is Eryx and how does it work?

Eryx is a multi-purpose sniping tool that assists you during token launches and/or swaps on supported exchanges. It works by constantly reading and analyzing the mempool for certain transactions and/or liquidity pools.

Checkout our blog post for more information related to sniper bots.

How does a crypto sniper bot work?

A crypto sniper bot works by reading transactions broadcasted on the blockchain of a certain chain. Once the bot detects a certain transaction, it proceeds by executing a set list of steps for that specific transaction type.

An example would be the addLiquidity transaction. Once the bot detects the addLiquidity transaction, it sends out a swap transaction as fast as possible to make sure that you will have a good entrypoint. This will asure you the best buy price.

Checkout our blog post for more in-depth information about sniper bots.

Does it require a crypto wallet?

Yes. Eryx requires a private key from your wallet to work correctly.

You can use any mainstream extension / application (metamask, trustwallet etc) to create a wallet.

In what language(s) is Eryx written?

Eryx is fully written in NodeJS, however we have also used Solidity for a few functions within Eryx. Our focus was to make Eryx as portable and as lightweight as possible, hence the choice of using NodeJS.

What is the difference between Open Source and Obfuscated?

The obfuscated version of the bot is a compiled script that has exactly the same functionality as the open source one, except you cannot view and/or edit the source code.

By purchasing the open source one, you get an invite to our private repo where you can download the full source code of Eryx.

How does it compete with other bots out there?

A lot of bots out there have a very bad code and/or structure. This affects the performance of those bots drastically on the long run.

Eryx has been written with optimalization and modularity in mind. We have been very careful with designing the core functions of this bot to make sure that it will provide the speed needed. This is why we can vouch that it's one of the fastest sniper bots available in the market.

What is a node? Is it mandatory?

Yes. It's mandatory.

A node is your gateway to the blockchain. The bot relies on the node to send and receive messages from the blockchain.

Are updates free? How do they work?

Yes! Updates are completely free for both versions (obfuscated & open source).

For the obfuscated version, updates are downloaded automatically. For the open source one, you will have to pull the latest changes form our repository.

Is the bot configurable?

Absolutely! You can configure almost everything by using the config or the CLI params. Both of these options are documented in our docs.

Is this tool legal to use?

Yes, it's absolutely legal to use this tool since you're not doing anything else except automating (at an extremely fast rate) the steps needed to purchase a token.
